In a surprising partnership that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also brings the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
