Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial important trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
